EUROSPINE 2018

From September 19 to 21, the Spine Society of Europe (EUROSPINE 2008) 20th Annual Meeting, organized by the Spine Society of Europe, was held in Barcelona, Spain. Thousands of spine surgeons from more than 80 countries participated in the meeting.

Five physicians Sun Honghui, Fan Yong, Wang Biao, Yang Junsong and Zhang Jianan from the Rachiopathy Hospital of Xi'an Honghui Hospital, and Du Jinpeng, a postgraduate student, were invited to attend the EUROSPINE 2008 and delivered speeches at the meeting.

The Spine Society of Europe (EUROSPINE), founded in 1998, is the largest spine society in Europe. The Spine Society of Europe Annual Meeting is currently the highest-level academic conference on spine surgery in Europe. More than 1,000 contributions were received from different countries all over the world, but only 168 articles were selected to be delivered in the meeting, 78 of which were delivered by Oral Presentation and 90 by Quick Fire.

The number of participants and speeches ranks first in China. Six participants had a heated discussion with delegates from various countries, and the experts attending the meeting fully recognized the surgical technique and scientific research projects carried out by the Xi'an Honghui Hospital.

On the one hand, this speech showed the latest research results of the Xi'an Honghui Hospital on the world’s top platform to peers at home and abroad, fully embodied the advanced medical level and strong scientific research capacity of the Rachiopathy Hospital of Xi'an Honghui Hospital. On the other hand, by participating in this meeting and closely communicating with the top international spine surgeons, the Xi'an Honghui Hospital has built a bridge to communicate with the world, opened up a new channel for the hospital to “invite in and go out”, solidly marching on the road for the Xi'an Honghui Hospital to become the “northwest first, national first-class and world-renowned” comprehensive hospital as soon as possible.
