Recently, JAAOS (Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons), the international top journal of orthopedics, has officially published the original paper- The Healing Rate of Type II Odontoid Fractures Treated With Posterior Atlantoaxial Screw-rod Fixation: A Retrospective Review of 77 Patients of Spine Surgery Team of Xi’an Honghui Hospital.

The first authors of this Paper are Deputy Director of Science and Education Department of Xi’an Honghui Hospital and Doctor Huang Dageng - attending physician of Spinal Disease Hospital and the corresponding author is Professor Hao Dingjun-Director of Xi’an Honghui Hospital. 

In this research, in-depth exploration is carried out in recovery of odontoid fracture fixed with screw-rod, which lays theoretical foundation for therapeutic methods of odontoid fracture fixed with temporary atlantoaxial screw-rod to retain atlantoaxial movement ability. 

As the most authoritative and most influential academic organization of orthopedics in the world, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) held the academic annual conference-academic conference of orthopedics with the largest scale in the world and its official journal-JAAOS is the international top journal of orthopedics with a good reputation for a long time.
